Cambodia Sends 6 Horses Riders to Compete in SEA Games

Cambodia will send six equestrians to participate competition of 27th sea game in Myanmar from 11-18 December, 2013, a senior official of Cambodia equestrian federation said on Friday.  

The six will take part two subjects of the competitions – Jumping and horse riding models, Mrs. Tep Mona, Cambodia equestrian federation said. Young Cambodian riders Moeng Sochea and Phat Makara won team jumping silver in Naypyidaw, Myanmar in March in pre-asean competition.  


"In the next five years, we hope our horse riders will have enough capacities to participate in Asia championship, she notes. The six riders for 27th sea game : Mr Hoy Sopharith, Mr. Phat Makara, Mr. Sor puthminea, Mr. Sim Narith, Mr. Ly sovanchandara, and Mr. Lon sopheaktra.

The Cambodia Equestrian Federal(CEF) made a conference in Cambodia Country Club (Bridge Street) on October 8, to show the 6 players of national horse riding that Ready to compete Medals first Myanmar at SEA Games At the end of the year.

The six players to represent Cambodia with SEA GAMES this year, Most of them are men, and youth, they are Only about 20 years old, but Full capacity And talent, Mrs TEP Mona, Secretary General of CEF said.
 

Cambodia National sent players to play game with 2 of 3 game events Dressage and Show Jumping, while riding 80 km competition, we not join because our players have never got Training and no adequate yard.

Cambodia has one center (Cambodian country club) of training horse riders and this equestrian center helps promote young riders to be professionals. 

With its 31 ponies and horses and its international sized arena (4000 sqm), the one and only horse-back riding center in Phnom Penh fulfills every rider's expectations.
