Rubilen Amit Focused on Myanmar SEA Games 2013

PHILIPPINES UPDATED. Rubilen 'Bingkay' Amit, a former SEA Games 9-ball gold medalist is relying on the experience she will get at her current participation at the Women’s World 10-Ball Championship: Team Asia vs Team West in preparation for her SEA Games 2013 stint in Myanmar this December.

“This tournament is the last event that we will be participating in route to SEA Games since we don’t have much exposure and tournaments abroad. So we will just train through this tournament in preparation for Myanmar SEA Games,” said Amit.

She is competing in the Women’s World 10-Ball along with defending champion Ga Young Kim of Korea, the 2010 champion Jasmin Ouschan of Austria and Kelly Fisher of England, the 2011 World Champion.

“We also prepared for this tournament which is part of our SEA Games preparation. But we can’t deny the fact that we are competing with cue artists that have participated many tournaments prior to this world championship,” Amit explained.

There are a total of 48 cue artists around the world are participating in the tournament along with Erica Park and Yu Ram Cha of Korea, and Xiaoting Pan ng China.
